Rosenborg winger Marius Broholm could be set for a move abroad this summer, with a club in Belgium reportedly keeping a close eye on him. The 20-year-old broke into Rosenborg’s first team in 2021 and has continued his development, particularly following a loan spell at Kristiansund in 2023. Broholm has established himself as one of the standout players in the Norwegian top flight, and his impressive performances have led to speculation about a potential move to a new club during the summer transfer window.
According to HLN, Belgian club Anderlecht is seriously interested in securing Broholm’s signature and is considering making a move for him in the coming months. Anderlecht has a history of signing players from Norway, with Ole Martin Årst and Kristian Arnstad having made similar moves in the past. The Belgian club is known for identifying talent in smaller leagues and helping young players progress in their careers, and Broholm would be another such example if he were to make the switch.
While the winger likely harbours dreams of playing in one of Europe’s major leagues, a move to Anderlecht would still represent a significant step forward in his career. It would provide him with the opportunity to showcase his talent in a competitive European league, which could act as a springboard to more high-profile moves in the future. The summer transfer window is often a time for teams to refresh and strengthen their squads, and Anderlecht will undoubtedly be looking to add depth and quality to their team ahead of the new season.
Broholm will be hoping that any potential deal goes through and that he can prove himself in Belgium. A successful stint in the Belgian Pro League could open the door for him to make a move to one of the larger European leagues in the future, elevating his career to new heights. With his contract running until 2026, Rosenborg will likely be open to selling the young talent for a reasonable fee, allowing Anderlecht to secure the winger at an affordable price.
