Celtic are interested in signing Zinedin Smajlovic from Sandefjord, but they are facing strong competition from Olympiacos, with both clubs attempting to secure the defender during the current transfer window, according to Inside Futbol.

The 22-year-old is reportedly ready to move to a bigger league, although Celtic must first meet Sandefjord’s valuation before any agreement can be reached. The Norwegian club are understood to value the defender highly and are not prepared to lower their demands despite growing interest from multiple clubs.
Sandefjord would prefer to keep the player, but there is increasing pressure surrounding his future as interest continues to grow from abroad. The club are therefore focused on securing the best possible financial package before considering a sale.

The report states that Celtic have offered between €3.5 million and €4 million for Smajlovic, although Sandefjord believe the proposal falls below their valuation and are reportedly seeking closer to €5 million before approving any transfer.
It is also claimed that Olympiacos submitted an offer within a similar range, but that bid was likewise rejected by the Norwegian side.
