“I’m sitting here” Celtic new signing opens up on his transfer

Kasper Hogh has completed his move from Bodo/Glimt to Celtic, and he has expressed his gratitude to the Norwegian club for the important role they played in his development before the transfer.

Bodo/Glimt signed Hogh from Stabæk in 2023, and he spent the last three years improving as a player in the Norwegian top flight. His progress helped him become one of the most recognised attacking players in the league.

Hogh completes Celtic move after impressive rise

Hogh showed that he could perform against some of the strongest teams in Europe when he faced Manchester City and Inter Milan in the Champions League last term. Those performances attracted attention from Celtic and highlighted his ability on a major stage.

Celtic attempted to sign him during the January transfer window but were unable to complete the move at that time. They have now reached an agreement for his transfer, allowing Hogh to continue his career in Scotland.

The move also brings him closer to England, where he could potentially play in the future if he continues producing strong performances. Celtic are pleased to have secured his services and believe he can make a significant impact in their squad.

Hogh reflects on Bodo/Glimt development

Celtic believe Hogh is one of the top attackers around and expect him to perform well after joining the club. Following the completion of the transfer, Hogh said via Celtic Way:

“When I came to Bodo, I was just in another place.

“It was crazy they took the chance [on me] at the time, but I’m so thankful and happy for that.

“They helped me change into the person I am today and learn what’s important for me. I’m just happy I’m sitting here today playing for Celtic.”

Hogh’s comments show the appreciation he has for Bodo/Glimt and the influence the club had on his development. After making significant progress in Norway, he will now look to continue his growth and establish himself as an important player for Celtic.
