Leo Østigård has returned to Serie A, a league he previously won with Napoli during the 2022/2023 season, as his journeyman career continues. The defender has now secured another move in what has been a well-travelled path across Europe’s top leagues.
Last season, Østigård featured for both Rennes and Hoffenheim, performing admirably in the second half of the campaign with the Bundesliga side. Rennes had hoped Hoffenheim would make the loan move permanent, given his contributions, but no agreement was reached, and he returned to France.
