Magnus Riisnæs rushed to the hospital after Bodø/Glimt’s match

Magnus Riisnæs

Bodø/Glimt youngster Magnus Riisnæs was rushed to the hospital following their Champions League clash with Slavia Praha. The incident occurred after he appeared to be in some distress, sitting on the pitch while medics from the club attended to him. Although he received swift treatment on the field, it was deemed insufficient, and he was subsequently taken to a hospital in Prague for further care.

The midfielder had only been on the pitch for 25 minutes, having started the game on the bench. Despite his absence, Bodø/Glimt produced a spirited performance, coming from 2-0 down to secure a 2-2 draw in their historic Champions League campaign.

Immediate Concerns for Riisnæs

Speaking after the match, Glimt’s assistant coach Gaute Helstrup provided an update on the situation. He told Nettavisen, “He is having trouble breathing. We don’t know what the reason is at the moment. We hope that everything is going well and that he is being taken care of by good people.”

The uncertainty surrounding the cause of Riisnæs’ condition has understandably caused concern among teammates and supporters. However, the club remains hopeful that he is in good hands and will make a quick recovery.

Looking Ahead for the Young Midfielder

Although Riisnæs’ immediate health is the priority, questions remain about when he might return to action. It is still unclear whether he will be given time off to recover or whether he could be available for Bodø/Glimt’s next fixture. The Norwegian champions, however, have sufficient depth in their squad to cope with his absence if required.

For now, the focus will be on ensuring Riisnæs is fully fit before returning to the pitch. His well-being comes before any footballing concerns, and both the club and its supporters will be eager to see him return home safely to Norway.
