Manchester City risks losing Erling Haaland and Pep Guardiola

Guardiola Haaland

It is difficult to imagine Manchester City without Pep Guardiola on the touchline and Erling Haaland leading the attack. For many supporters, the manager and his prolific Norwegian striker have come to define a dominant era at the club.

Under Guardiola’s leadership, City have remained one of the strongest sides in world football, consistently competing for major honours. Haaland’s remarkable goal-scoring record has played a central role in sustaining that success across domestic and European competitions. Together, they have formed a partnership that has elevated the club’s standards and reinforced its reputation as a powerhouse of the modern game.

Success Built on Stability

City are once again in contention for multiple trophies this season, with the possibility of securing a historic quadruple. Such an achievement would be unthinkable without the influence of Guardiola and the clinical finishing of Haaland. The striker remains in the race for another Premier League Golden Boot and will be determined to propel his side above Arsenal in the title battle.

In the coming weeks, City could climb to the top of the table, intensifying the competition at the summit. However, uncertainty surrounds the club’s long-term outlook due to the 115 charges brought against them by the Premier League. The club have consistently denied any wrongdoing, maintaining their position throughout the process.

Uncertainty Over the Future

According to Sporten, there is a possibility that City could face a deduction of more than 50 points if found guilty. Guardiola has previously stated that he would leave the club in the event of proven misconduct, and the same report suggests that Haaland could follow suit, given the manager’s influence on his decision to remain at the Etihad.

While the situation remains unresolved, the potential ramifications are significant. City’s immediate focus will remain on matters on the pitch, yet the outcome of the proceedings could shape the future of both Guardiola and Haaland, and consequently alter the trajectory of one of football’s most formidable partnerships.

  1. Utter nonsense.

Guardiola is contracted to the end of next season. He does not break contracts
Haaland. Loves it at City and is contracted for a long time. Maybe £500 million might prise him away

  2. The points deduction was an answer to a question, that question being “If City were to be found guilty how many points do you think they’d be deducted” to a guy called Kieran Maguire. Nothing more than an opinion on the possibility of a points deduction. We all have opinions and none are more valid than the other. Mine is there is no guilt and the Premier league are looking for a way out saving face.
