Atletico Madrid are looking to sell Alexander Sorloth only for the right price, as the Norwegian star is now one of the hottest properties on the transfer market.
The striker has done well at the Spanish club since joining them, and his career in Spain has largely been successful so far. Sorloth is happy in Madrid, while Newcastle have held a long-standing interest in his signature and Juventus are pursuing a late move for him.
Juventus pursue Sorloth transfer
The Italians are keen to add a new striker to their squad before this transfer window closes, and several names are on their shopping list at the moment. Sorloth is one of them, with Fichajes reporting that Atletico are open to selling him as long as the interested club is ready to pay around 30m euros for his signature.
Atletico believe that figure is a fair reflection of Sorloth’s market value in this window and will only listen to offers if they reach that amount. The Spanish club therefore appear prepared to consider his departure, but only if their financial demands are met.
Juventus will now have to decide whether Sorloth is worth that investment as they look to strengthen their attacking options. Their interest has emerged alongside Newcastle’s long-standing interest, giving the striker more than one potential destination.
Atletico set Sorloth valuation
If Juventus remain interested in a move for Nicolas Gonzalez, they could potentially lower the price for Sorloth or even avoid paying by sending the Argentinian back to the club he spent last season on loan with. That could provide the Bianconeri with another way to structure a deal as they consider their options.
Sorloth’s happiness in Madrid could also become an important factor. Although Atletico are willing to listen to suitable offers, the Norway international has no immediate need to leave a club where he has enjoyed a successful period.
