Patrick Berg knows what to expect when Bodo/Glimt travel to Milan

Patrick Berg has been at Bodo/Glimt long enough to make him one of the few stars who played against AC Milan in 2020 in a Europa League qualifier at the San Siro.

This week, he will be a part of the Glimt team that will face Inter Milan in the Champions League playoff return leg.

Bodo shocked the Italian champions in the reverse fixture at home, and they hold a 3-1 advantage ahead of the next game.

At the San Siro, Inter’s supporters will outnumber the Norwegians who will watch the match, and Bodo must show they have mental strength by going there and not getting eliminated.

Their first leg win gives them a fine advantage in the tie, and it means that they would now have to play under less pressure, while Inter bears much of the pressure in their bid to show they are the better team.

Berg knows what to expect at the San Siro and would let his teammates know how the stadium is hostile to other teams.

He said via TV2: “You notice that the pace is different from what you are used to, and that can affect you as a player. There is no doubt that it will be an intense battle on the grass down there.”
