Dávid Ďuriš is set to become the latest addition to Rosenborg’s squad this summer, with the club having reached an agreement to sign him from MŠK Žilina in his native Slovakia.
Rosenborg have seen several departures in recent months and are eager to reinforce their squad ahead of the second half of the season. The club boasts a strong scouting network and a respected academy system, both of which have contributed to developing players capable of stepping into the first team. However, in this instance, they have opted for a more experienced option by securing a deal for Ďuriš.
Rosenborg Strengthen with International Experience
The 26-year-old forward brings with him a wealth of experience, both at club level and internationally. Since 2022, he has earned 15 caps for the Slovakia national team, underlining his quality and consistency. Ďuriš also spent time in Italy last year, where he had a spell with Ascoli, before returning to Žilina. He will now continue his career in Norway as Rosenborg seek to climb the league table.
According to Nettavisen, Ďuriš will join centre-back Tomas Nemcik at Rosenborg, reuniting with his former Žilina teammate. Their previous chemistry could prove beneficial as both players adapt to a new environment in Trondheim.
Deal Details Yet to Be Confirmed
It remains unclear whether the transfer is a permanent signing or a loan move with an option to buy, which was the arrangement in Nemcik’s case. Regardless of the terms, Rosenborg have added another attacking option to their ranks, aiming to strengthen their offensive output for the remainder of the season.
With the arrival of Ďuriš, Rosenborg hope to inject more quality and experience into their side. The Slovak international’s versatility and understanding of top-level football could make him a valuable asset as the club works to stabilise performances and build momentum in the league.
