Stoke City opening bid for exciting striker rejected

Stoke City’s opening bid for Daniel Karlsbakk has been rejected by Sarpsborg, with the club believing the offer was not sufficient to allow the striker to leave their team.

According to TV2, Sarpsborg value the forward at £3.8m, which is the same amount they were seeking when they were prepared to sell him during the January transfer window. At that time, Trabzonspor were interested in securing his services, but a deal could not be completed.

Sarpsborg have remained willing to consider a sale, provided that their asking price is met by one of the clubs pursuing the striker. The Norwegian side is prepared to let him depart, but only if they receive an offer that matches their valuation.

Stoke City Continue Pursuit

Stoke City want Karlsbakk to lead their attack next season and has identified him as a player who could strengthen their squad. However, their first proposal has fallen short of Sarpsborg’s expectations, resulting in the offer being turned down.
