Reactions among the Vålerenga fanbase have been critical of the decision, with some feeling that the punishment is excessive. Christian Arentz, a spokesman for the supporters, stated, “First of all, I think it is a total exaggeration by the NFF.” The comments highlight the tension between fan culture and regulatory authorities, as well as differing perspectives on appropriate disciplinary measures.
